Welcome to the 10th Iberian American Conference on Metallurgy and Materials – X IBEROMET – held at Cartagena de Indias – Colombia, in Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.

X IBEROMET (http://iberomet.org) gathers experts in materials and metallurgy science and engineering, as well as scientists and engineers from academic, industrial, and government sectors in Iberian America interested in the exchange of knowledge to strengthen international cooperation in the development, production, and commercialization of materials with improved characteristics. The event offers the opportunity to show latest industrial and technological development, along with techniques in materials characterization.

Iberian America should prepare as a key player in the application and development of novel materials, modifying and improving conventional materials. Iberian America, characterized for its abundance of raw materials, must become a player in the society of knowledge with its diversity of natural resources.

In this edition, the IBEROMET topics are: Metallurgy, Metals and Alloys, Polymers and Composites, Ceramics and Glass, Refractive Materials, Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Leathers and Hides, Advanced Textiles, Construction Materials, Coating Materials, Thin Films, Catalysis and Absorbents, Magnetic-Electric-and Semi-conducting Materials, Simulation and Modeling of Materials, Characterization and Testing of Materials, Technological Processes, and Recycling and Environmental Impact.

The central agenda will also include a Business Forum to integrate participating industry representatives and academic research sectors.
